The Hindu community in Balochistan is very upset at the kidnapping of their loved ones. Many of them have already left for India or abroad. A kidnapped religious cleric from Kalat has not been released yet. In the last week of December, sub-engineer Irrigation Department and former journalist Nanak Ram Rajput was abducted. The police have filed a case but there is no progress so far. Maharaj and Hindu religious reverend Go-Lukh Meer of ancient temple and his friend Vinod Kumar haven’t been found yet. Ghor Bakhsh, a relative of Vinod, and public have urged for their safe recovery.

Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights Engineer Basant Lal Gulshan has expressed concern over the rising kidnappings of Hindus. He said foreign elements were responsible for these abductions to destabilize Balochistan. In addition, he said during the last three years 39 people had been kidnapped and two killed. Tribal system protects the minorities and they feel safe.
A pre-planned game is being played by the foreign hand to eliminate harmony among the people of different faiths in Balochistan. Not only the government, but also the civil society should come forward to solve this problem. This is not a good omen for Balochistan because this fire would rise and damage it further in future.
